F35 Wheelchair Accessory

Small, light, and packed with power

Small, light, and packed with power

When using your wheelchair, every little push forward might not feel like a big deal, but day in, day out, the strain on your shoulders accumulates over time. Pull assist devices can be the superheroes of the wheelchair world, but some are just too bulky and heavy for everyday use - especially for quick jaunts around town or when traveling. The Empulse F35 strikes the perfect balance between size and practicality. This ultra-portable micro-pull device is not just a looker, it's your ticket to quick and effortless powered mobility in the urban jungle.

Docking

One-motion docking

Places to go? People to see? That's why we've made docking the F35 so easy. Just pull the tube latch and the F35 releases from its subframe – how simple is that? The subframe can stay on your wheelchair all day, so reattaching is a breeze. Just align and push forward to lock back in. And when it's time to transfer out of your wheelchair, the subframe is just as easy to remove. For more information, view the Docking Guide.

Compact

At 16.5 lbs., the F35 is lighter to lift than most wheelchairs!

But it's not just its low weight that makes the F35 so easy to handle; it's the integrated design, too. From cabling to the battery, everything is included in its frame tube, so there's less to lift. Tight on space? The handles also fold down flush to the frame, saving additional space when you really need it.

Performance

The city limits just got a lot smaller.

Strike the perfect balance between indoor performance and long-range driving with the F35. Looking to avoid congestion charges? Leave the car at home thanks to a range of up to 9 miles. Facing walkways with challenging slopes? Its robust 250-watt motor handles gradients of 6° (even with a 242-pound user weight). Keep pace with the hustle and bustle of the sidewalk with a maximum speed of 9.3 MPH.

Plus, with three selectable speed profiles, you can quickly tap into extra power to overcome changing conditions. Riders can choose from three speed modes – slow (3.7 MPH), standard (6.2 MPH), and fast (up to 9.3 MPH) – and select from three acceleration profiles (Slow, Standard, and Fast) to match the terrain or their preference.

Frequently Asked Questions

For optimal battery life, the battery should be stored at a temperature of 50° F to 77° F and a humidity of 20% to 75%. Ideally, the battery should be kept at about 75% charge. If the battery is stored for too long at a low charge, the voltage inside the battery will drop so dramatically that a deep discharge can occur, permanently damaging the battery. To wake up the battery from sleep mode after a long period of inactivity (two weeks), press the button above the USB charging port.

There are two ways to detach the F35 from the wheelchair:

  • The quickest: This innovative feature allows for quick release with a patent-pending, effortless, one-motion docking mechanism, perfect for quick stops during daily activities. It allows you to easily detach the F35 from the receiver while leaving the subframe attached to the chair. This method is ideal for short breaks, such as visiting a coffee shop or attending classes or meetings. Plus, it only takes seconds to reattach the F35 when you need to use it again.
  • For storage: When it's time to move from the wheelchair to the car, couch, or bed, the F35 offers an easy solution. Convenient clamps allow you to easily remove the entire unit from your chair. Simply detach the main tube and subframe from the chair for a seamless solution to store your F35 until you need it again.

The F35 is a small, versatile, highly maneuverable, and transportable pulling device that is intended for urban environments both indoor and outdoor. Ideal for navigating busy streets, public transportation, and other urban obstacles with greater ease.

The F35 is designed with user-friendly controls for active wheelchair users who have adequate upper body strength and hand function to maneuver effectively. However, ease of operation can depend on individual preferences and abilities. Please check with your healthcare professional if the Empulse F35 is a good pull device for you.

Features that support the east and comfortable usage of your F35:

  • The assistive cruise control, which holds the selected speed on inclines
  • The dual brake system, which includes a proportional electric brake and a mechanical drum brake. Using either brake will automatically disengage cruise control.
  • The strong parking brake
  • The reverse gear will always change acceleration mode to Standard
  • The battery will go into a "deep sleep" mode after two weeks to protect itself from deep discharge
  • The bright LED light illuminates your way

Furthermore, the F35 is also fully compliant with EN12184 testing, because your safety is our priority.

Maximum forward speed is 9.3 MPH (15 KPH). When traveling with your F35, always check the specific laws of the state/country you're traveling in.
